Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 1 c
  • cinnamon - 1 tsp
  • eggs - 2 item
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • flour
  • brown sugar - 2 c
  • baking soda - 1/2 tsp
  • powdered sugar - 5 c
  • persimmon pulp - 2 c
  • each nutmeg and cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
  • melted butter or oil - 1/2 c
  • Put in 2 greased round cake pans

How to make persimmon cake:

Mix the ingredients. Put in 2 greased round cake pans. Bake at 350° for about 1 hour or until set. Top with icing.Icing:1 c. butter2 c. brown sugar1/2 c. persimmon pulp1/2 tsp. each nutmeg and cinnamon5 c. powdered sugar Bring butter and brown sugar to a boil. Remove from heat and add rest of ingredients.
