Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 1 Tbsp
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • flour - 4 c
  • cold water - 1/2 c
  • egg - 1 item
  • vinegar - 1 Tbsp
  • Crisco shortening

How to make perfect pie crust:

Mix egg in cold water and vinegar. With a fork, mix first 4 ingredients until they are mealy. Add the rest and mix. Mold with hands into a ball. Chill at least 15 minutes before using. Makes crust for 2 pies.

The good part: anyone can handle the crust as much as needed without crust being tough.
