Perfect meringue
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/4 c
- salt - 1/8 tsp
- water - 2 Tbsp
- egg whites - 2 item
- cream of tartar - 1/4 tsp
How to make perfect meringue:
Beat egg whites and water at high speed for 1 minute until stiff but not dry. Add cream of tartar and salt and beat 1 minute at high speed. Add 1/4 cup sugar gradually and beat 1 more minute at high speed. Spread on pie. Sprinkle with 2 tablespoons of sugar. Bake for 15 minutes at 350°.Recipe categories: Desserts, Pie, Pies and tarts.
