Perfect meringue



  • sugar - 1/4 c
  • salt - 1/8 tsp
  • water - 2 Tbsp
  • egg whites - 2 item
  • cream of tartar - 1/4 tsp

How to make perfect meringue:

Beat egg whites and water at high speed for 1 minute until stiff but not dry. Add cream of tartar and salt and beat 1 minute at high speed. Add 1/4 cup sugar gradually and beat 1 more minute at high speed. Spread on pie. Sprinkle with 2 tablespoons of sugar. Bake for 15 minutes at 350°.
