  • garlic powder - 1 Tbsp
  • grated Parmesan cheese - 1/2 c
  • sesame seed - 1 item
  • pepperoni, sliced - 1/2 lb
  • olive oil - 1 Tbsp
  • dehydrated onion flakes - 1 tsp
  • salt and freshly ground pepper - 1 item
  • Mozzarella cheese, grated - 1 lb
  • dried oregano, crumbled - 1 tsp
  • dried basil, crumbled - 1 tsp
  • egg, beaten to blend - 1 item
  • pizza dough or 1 2 lb - 2 lb

How to make pepperoni pizza bread:

Brush two 11 x 17-inch baking sheets with olive oil. Divide dough in half. Roll 1 dough piece out to edges of 1 prepared sheet. Place half of pepperoni slices in crosswise rows on dough, leaving 1/2-inch borders at ends. Sprinkle with half of Mozzarella, half of garlic powder, half of basil, half of oregano and half of onion. Top with half of Parmesan. Season with salt and pepper.

Starting at short end, roll up jelly roll fashion and turn, seam side down, on baking sheet. Brush with egg. Slice crosswise slits in top of dough. Sprinkle with sesame seed. Repeat with remaining ingredients. (Can be prepared 1 week ahead. Wrap tightly and freeze. Thaw before baking.)

Preheat oven to 400°. Bake until golden brown, about 25 minutes. Slice loaves. Serve immediately. Makes 2 loaves.
