Pepper steak
Ingredients/Components
- cornstarch - 1 Tbsp
- water - 1/4 c
- margarine - 1/2 c
- garlic powder - 1/2 tsp
- soy sauce - 3 Tbsp
- chopped onions - 1/2 c
- can tomatoes - 1 lb
- beef bouillon cube - 1 item
- each sugar and salt - 1 tsp
- green peppers, cut in strips - 2 item
- round steak, cut in 2-inch strips - 2 lb
How to make pepper steak:
In skillet, melt margarine. Add beef; sprinkle with garlic powder and saute, stirring slightly, until browned. Add onion, tomatoes and bouillon cube. Blend together cornstarch, water, soy sauce, sugar and salt. Stir into meat mixture. Add green peppers. Simmer about 45 minutes.
