Ingredients/Components

  • salt - 1 tsp
  • cornstarch - 2 Tbsp
  • water - 1/4 c
  • oil - 1/4 c
  • pepper - 1 item
  • soy sauce - 2 tsp
  • clove garlic - 1 item
  • hot cooked rice - 1 item
  • onion, finely chopped - 1/4 c
  • green peppers - 4 item
  • beef bouillon - 1 c
  • celery, sliced - 1 c
  • round steak - 1 lb

How to make pepper steak:

Cut steak diagonally into thin slices 2-inches long. Cook beef with pepper and onion. Add celery and bouillon; cover and cook 10 minutes. Discard garlic. Combine cornstarch, water and soy sauce; blend until smooth and slowly add to skillet. Stir until liquid is thickened, approximately 5 minutes. Serve with rice. Serves 4.
