Pepper steak



  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • water
  • all-purpose flour - 1/4 c
  • cooking oil - 1/8 c
  • garlic clove, minced - 1 item
  • black pepper - 1/4 tsp
  • onions, diced - 1/2 c
  • can tomatoes - 8 oz
  • rice, cooked - 1 item
  • round steak
  • green peppers, cut into strips - 2 item

How to make pepper steak:

Cut steak into strips. Combine flour, salt and pepper. Coat meat strips with flour mixture. In skillet, cook meat in hot oil until browned on all sides. Drain tomatoes, reserving liquid. Add tomato liquid, water, onion and garlic to meat in skillet. Cover and simmer for 1 hour or until meat is tender. Uncover and stir in tomatoes and green peppers. Simmer for 7 to 8 minutes. Serve over rice.
