Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- cornstarch - 1 item
- water - 2 c
- margarine - 1 Tbsp
- soy sauce - 2 Tbsp
- small onion - 1 item
- green pepper - 1 item
- beef bouillon cubes - 2 item
- round steak - 1 item
- long grain brown rice - 1 c
How to make pepper steak:
Steak: Cut round steak into 2-inch strips; salt, pepper, flour and brown. Add chopped green pepper and chopped onion, then soy sauce and beef bouillon with about 2 cups water. Cover and cook slowly about 1 hour. Then add enough cornstarch to make gravy.Put rice, water and salt in covered dish and bake 1 hour at 375°. Add margarine. Serve rice under steak and gravy.
