  • salt - 1 tsp
  • cornstarch - 1 item
  • water - 2 c
  • margarine - 1 Tbsp
  • soy sauce - 2 Tbsp
  • small onion - 1 item
  • green pepper - 1 item
  • beef bouillon cubes - 2 item
  • round steak - 1 item
  • long grain brown rice - 1 c

How to make pepper steak:

Steak: Cut round steak into 2-inch strips; salt, pepper, flour and brown. Add chopped green pepper and chopped onion, then soy sauce and beef bouillon with about 2 cups water. Cover and cook slowly about 1 hour. Then add enough cornstarch to make gravy.

Put rice, water and salt in covered dish and bake 1 hour at 375°. Add margarine. Serve rice under steak and gravy.
