Pepper jelly
Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- white vinegar
- green bell pepper, chopped fine - 3/4 c
- Certo - 6 oz
- hot peppers, chopped fine - 1/2 c
How to make pepper jelly:
In a large pot place the first 4 ingredients. Bring to a rolling boil. Cook 1 to 2 minutes on very low heat. Remove from heat and stir in Certo. Bring pot back to heat and cook for 5 minutes. Pour jelly into canning jars and seal. Red or green food coloring may be added to mixture for coloring. Yields about 4 (1/2-pint) jars.Recipe categories: Appetizers, Spreads, Jellies.
