  • sugar - 1 c
  • cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • flour - 2 c
  • butter - 1/2 c
  • evaporated milk - 1 c
  • nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
  • baking soda - 1 tsp
  • molasses - 1 Tbsp
  • raisins - 1/2 c
  • lemon juice - 1 Tbsp
  • egg, beaten - 1 item
  • ground cloves - 1/4 tsp

How to make pennsylvania dutch crumb cake:

Sift flour, sugar, salt and spices. Cut into butter. Reserve 1 cup. Combine lemon juice, milk and baking soda. Add to flour mixture along with egg, molasses and raisins. Pour into greased 11 x 7-inch pan. Sprinkle reserved mixture over top. Bake 35 to 45 minutes at 350°.
