Penne alla vodka
Ingredients/Components
- pkg - 1 oz
- butter or margarine - 4 Tbsp
- heavy cream - 1 c
- grated Parmesan cheese - 1 item
- frozen peas - 1 c
- can tomato sauce - 1 oz
- medium onion, diced - 1 item
- crushed red pepper - 1/4 1/2
- can tomatoes, drained - 1 oz
- vodka - 1/3 c
- ham, diced or a few slices Prosciutto - 1/4 lb
How to make penne alla vodka:
Cook pasta as per label directions. In large skillet over medium-high heat, cook onion in hot butter until tender, about 5 minutes. Add tomatoes and tomato sauce. Add vodka; cook 5 minutes. Blend cream, heat to boiling. Add remaining ingredients except cheese and heat through. Toss with hot drained pasta. Serve with grated Parmesan cheese.
