Ingredients/Components

  • pkg - 1 oz
  • butter or margarine - 4 Tbsp
  • heavy cream - 1 c
  • grated Parmesan cheese - 1 item
  • frozen peas - 1 c
  • can tomato sauce - 1 oz
  • medium onion, diced - 1 item
  • crushed red pepper - 1/4 1/2
  • can tomatoes, drained - 1 oz
  • vodka - 1/3 c
  • ham, diced or a few slices Prosciutto - 1/4 lb

How to make penne alla vodka:

Cook pasta as per label directions. In large skillet over medium-high heat, cook onion in hot butter until tender, about 5 minutes. Add tomatoes and tomato sauce. Add vodka; cook 5 minutes. Blend cream, heat to boiling. Add remaining ingredients except cheese and heat through. Toss with hot drained pasta. Serve with grated Parmesan cheese. Makes 6 servings.
