Peking shrimp
Ingredients/Components
- water - 1/4 c
- vegetable oil - 2 Tbsp
- ginger - 1/4 tsp
- dark corn syrup - 1/4 c
- clove garlic, minced - 1 item
- soy sauce - 2 Tbsp
- green pepper, chopped - 1/2 item
- sherry or red wine - 2 Tbsp
- frozen shrimp, thawed - 12 oz
- small tomato, cut up - 1 item
How to make peking shrimp:
Combine corn syrup, water, soy sauce, sherry or wine, cornstarch, garlic and ginger; set aside. Heat oil to medium-low temperature in large frying pan. Add shrimp and cook, stirring occasionally, about 3 minutes. Add sauce, tomatoes and peppers and bring to a boil. Boil 1 minute, stirring gently.Recipe categories: Main dish, One Dish meal, Shrimp.
