Pecan waffles
Ingredients/Components
- chopped pecans - 1/2 c
- milk
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- egg yolks - 2 item
- baking powder - 2 tsp
- egg whites - 2 item
- salad oil - 6 Tbsp
- presifted cake flour - 2 c
How to make pecan waffles:
Preheat waffle iron. Sift flour with baking powder and salt. Set aside (use medium bowl). In large mixing bowl, beat egg yolks, milk and salad oil. Gradually add flour mixture, a little at a time. In small bowl, beat egg whites until stiff peaks form when beater is raised. With rubber scraper, fold egg whites into batter mixture. Stir in pecans.For each waffle, pour about 1/2 cup of batter into center of lower half of waffle iron, until it spreads to 1-inch from edge.
