Ingredients/Components
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- pkg - 1 oz
- brown sugar - 3/4 c
- egg - 1 item
- all-purpose flour - 1 c
- dash of salt - 1 item
- butter or margarine, softened - 1/2 c
- coarsely chopped pecans - 1/2 c
How to make pecan tassies:
In mixing bowl, cream together the 1/2 cup butter or margarine and softened cream cheese. Stir in flour; mix well. Cover and chill one hour.In small mixing bowl, stir together egg, brown sugar and 1 tablespoon butter and salt. Shape pastry into one inch balls. Put into ungreased muffin pans.
Put 1 teaspoon nuts in each pastry. Fill with egg mixture. Bake at 325° approximately 25 minutes. Yields 24.
