Pecan squares
Ingredients/Components
- all-purpose flour - 2 c
- powdered sugar - 1/2 c
- butter or margarine, cut up - 1 c
- can Eagle Brand original sweetened condensed milk - 1 oz
- large egg - 1 item
- vanilla extract - 1 tsp
- 5 oz
- chopped pecans - 1 c
How to make pecan squares:
Combine flour and powdered sugar in a medium bowl. Cut in butter with a pastry blender until crumbly. Press mixture evenly into a greased 13 x 9-inch pan. Bake at 350° for 15 minutes. Combine sweetened condensed milk and next 4 ingredients. Pour over prepared crust. Bake at 350° for 25 minutes or until golden. Cool and cut into squares. Yield: 4 dozen.*We used Bits 'o Brickle found in the baking section of your supermarket.
