Pecan pralines
Ingredients/Components
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- brown sugar
- butter - 1/4 c
- pecans - 2 c
- white sugar
- can evaporated milk - 1 item
How to make pecan pralines:
Combine the sugars and milk in a heavy pot. Cook slowly over a low flame until it reaches 238 degrees on a candy thermometer. Remove from heat and add butter, vanilla, and pecans. Beat mixture with a wooden spoon until it is smooth and creamy. Drop by spoonfuls onto waxed paper. Yields about 2 dozen.Recipe categories: Desserts, Fruit, Candy.
