Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 3 item
- chopped pecans - 1 c
- packed brown sugar - 1/2 c
- vanilla extract - 1 tsp
- melted butter - 1/2 c
- egg - 1 item
- light corn syrup - 1 c
- dark corn syrup - 1/2 c
- yellow cake mix - 1 layer)
How to make pecan pie bars:
Reserve 2/3 cup cake mix. Combine remaining cake mix, butter and 1 egg in a bowl, mixing well. Press into greased 9 x 13-inch baking dish. Bake at 350° for 15 minutes, or until golden brown.Combine reserved cake mix, brown sugar, 3 eggs, corn syrup and vanilla in mixing bowl; beat at medium speed for 1 to 2 minutes. Pour over baked layer. Sprinkle with pecans. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes. Cut into bars when cool. Yields 24 servings.
