Pecan pie bars
Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 3 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- chopped pecans - 1 c
- packed brown sugar - 1/2 c
- oleo, softened - 1/4 c
- beaten egg - 1 item
- light Karo syrup - 1 c
- 2-layer size yellow cake mix - 1 item
How to make pecan pie bars:
Set aside 2/3 cup cake mix. Combine remaining mix, oleo and beaten egg. Stir by hand until mixture is crumbly. Spread mixture evenly over bottom and 1-inch up the sides of ungreased 13 x 9-inch pan. Bake 15 minutes at 350°.Combine 3 eggs, Karo syrup, brown sugar and vanilla. Add reserved cake mix. Stir until combined. Spread filling over crust and sprinkle with chopped pecans. Bake 30 to 35 minutes at 350°.
