- 2 sticks butter or margarine - 1 c
- sugar - 1/2 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- Filling:4 eggs
- Karo light corn syrup
- butter or margarine, melted - 3 Tbsp
- vanilla
- pecan halves or coarsely chopped
How to make pecan pie bars:
Filling:4 eggs1 1/2 c. Karo light corn syrup1 1/2 c. sugar3 Tbsp. butter or margarine, melted1 1/2 tsp. vanilla2 1/2 c. pecan halves or coarsely chopped For crust, preheat oven to 350°. Spray 15 x 10 x 1-inch baking pan with cooking spray. In large bowl, melt butter, then add flour, sugar and salt. Press firmly into prepared pan. Bake 20 to 23 minutes or until lightly golden brown. Remove from oven and top with filling.For filling, beat eggs, corn syrup, sugar, butter and vanilla until well blended. Stir in pecans. Immediately pour over hot crust and spread evenly. Bake 25 minutes or until firm around edges and slightly firm in center. Cool completely.
