  • eggs - 3 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • chopped pecans - 1 c
  • brown sugar - 1/2 c
  • egg - 1 item
  • melted butter or margarine - 1/2 c
  • box yellow cake mix - 1 item
  • dark Karo

How to make pecan pie bars:

Set aside 2/3 cup cake mix. Combine remaining cake mix, butter and 1 egg. Mix with a fork. Press crumbs into a greased 9 x 13-inch pan. Bake at 350° for 15 to 20 minutes, until golden brown.

Combine 2/3 cup cake mix, 3 eggs, brown sugar, Karo and vanilla. Beat thoroughly and pour over the partially baked crust. Sprinkle on pecans. Bake at 350° for 35 minutes. Cool and cut.
