  • sugar - 2 c
  • eggs - 6 item
  • chopped pecans - 1 lb
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • flour - 3 c
  • butter - 1/2 lb
  • baking powder - 1/2 tsp
  • candied cherries - 3/4 lb
  • candied pineapple - 3/4 lb

How to make pecan cake:

Mix all dry ingredients together. Cream butter and sugar, then add eggs one at a time. Mix this with dry ingredients. Then fold in candied fruit and nuts. Pour into greased and floured tube pan. Bake at 250° for 3 hours.
