Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- eggs - 4 item
- flour - 3 c
- butter - 1 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- buttermilk - 1 c
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- cloves, ground - 1 tsp
How to make pecan cake:
Cream butter; add sugar and beat until fluffy. Add beaten eggs. Sift dry ingredients together and add alternately with milk to butter mixture. Fold in pecans. Bake in a well-greased lightly floured tube pan (9-inch). Bake at 350° for 1 hour or until straw inserted comes out clean. Cool in pan 10 minutes before removing.
