  • sugar - 1/2 c
  • cinnamon - 2 tsp
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • chopped pecans - 1/4 c
  • butter - 2 tbsp
  • pecan halves - 1/3 c
  • softened butter or margarine - 2 Tbsp
  • cans crescent rolls - 2 item
  • Combine sugar, cinnamon and pecans

How to make pecan breakfast bread:

Separate each roll, and butter it. Combine sugar, cinnamon and pecans. Sprinkle over each roll. Roll from wide end to point. Place in a greased 9 x 5 loaf pan, forming 2 layers. Bake at 375° for 35 to 40 minutes or until deep brown. Remove from pan at once. Place right side up. Drizzle with topping.Topping:2 tbsp. Karo corn syrup (I use dark)1/4 c. confectioners' sugar2 tbsp. butter1 tsp. vanilla1/3 c. pecan halves Combine syrup, sugar, butter and vanilla in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Stir in nuts. Cool slightly, then drizzle over bread.
