  • milk - 1 c
  • flour - 2 Tbsp
  • butter - 1 Tbsp
  • grated cheese - 1/2 c
  • cracker crumbs - 1 item
  • paprika to taste - 1 item
  • small can mushrooms - 1 item
  • can peas, drained - 1 item
  • can asparagus, drained - 1 item
  • asparagus liquid - 1 Tbsp

How to make peas and asparagus casserole:

Melt butter in saucepan and gradually add flour. Stir constantly. Add asparagus juice, making paste. Add milk and stir until thick. Season with salt and pepper. Add cheese and mushrooms. Put peas, then asparagus in bottom of baking dish. Pour sauce over. Sprinkle cracker crumbs on top. Bake at 350° for 20 to 25 minutes or until hot throughout.
