Pear mincemeat
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 8 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- nutmeg - 1 tsp
- vinegar
- raisins - 2 lb
- lemon juice - 1 item
- cloves - 1 tsp
- orange juice - 1 item
- stick oleo - 1/2 item
- apples - 1 qt
- pears or 1 gal - 10 lb
How to make pear mincemeat:
Grate or grind pears and apples, drain off juice and add other ingredients. Cook 30 to 45 minutes slow. Stir to keep from sticking. Fill jars and seal.Went to Tinsman school from 1960 until 1963. Moved to Harrel, Arkansas.
