Pear honey
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- lemon, ground - 1 item
- ginger or 1/4 tsp - 1/4 tsp
- peeled crushed pears - 4 c
How to make pear honey:
Combine all ingredients and cook in kettle, stirring occasionally about 15 minutes or until spreading consistency. Pour into sterilized 1/2 pint jars within 1/2-inch of top. Prepare lids by following directions on box. Screw band down firmly tight and process in boiling waterbath 5 minutes. Yield: 5 half pints.Recipe categories: Fruit, American, Pears.
