  • sugar - 2 c
  • cinnamon - 1 tsp
  • eggs - 3 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • milk - 5 Tbsp
  • chopped nuts - 1 c
  • butter - 1 Tbsp
  • powdered sugar - 3/4 c
  • self-rising flour - 3 c
  • salad oil
  • chopped pears - 2 c
  • Add flour and cinnamon to creamed mixture

How to make pear cake:

Combine oil, sugar and eggs; beat well. Add flour and cinnamon to creamed mixture. (Sift flour and cinnamon together 3 times first.) Add vanilla. Fold in pears and nuts. Bake in tube pan in 325° oven for 1 hour and 20 minutes.Glaze (for Pear Cake or other cakes):2 Tbsp. brown sugar1 Tbsp. butter1/2 c. chopped nuts5 Tbsp. milk3/4 c. powdered sugar In saucepan heat the brown sugar, milk and butter until just melted. Remove from heat. Add powdered sugar and blend until smooth. Drizzle on top. Sprinkle with nuts.
