Pear butter



  • sugar - 7 lb
  • lemon juice optional - 2 Tbsp
  • large can crushed pineapple - 1 item
  • pears - 7 lb

How to make pear butter:

Process or grind pears. Add sugar and let stand for 2 hours. Add pineapple and lemon juice. Cook until thickened, approximately two or more hours. Put into sterilized jars. Yields approximately 8 to 12 pints.
