- sugar - 1 c
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- butter - 1/2 c
- nutmeg - 1/8 tsp
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- baking soda - 1/2 tsp
- nuts optional - 1 item
- yogurt or buttermilk - 1/4 c
- coarsely chopped pears - 1 c
How to make pear bread:
Beat eggs, sugar, butter and vanilla. Sift together flour, soda, salt, baking powder and nutmeg. Add dry ingredients along with yogurt or buttermilk. Fold in chopped pears. Pour in small or large pans. Bake at 350° for 1 hour.Recipe categories: Breads, Fruit, Quick breads.
