Peanut soup
Ingredients/Components
- flour - 2 T
- butter - 2 T
- heavy cream - 2/3 c
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- small onion chopped - 1 item
- stalk celery chopped - 1 item
- quart chicken broth - 1 item
- peanut butter creamy - 1 c
How to make peanut soup:
Melt butter in a heavy soup pot. Add the onion and celery and cook until just soft. Whisk in the flour (use Wonder flour) and cook 3 minutes. Slowly blend in the broth. Bring this to a boil, reduce the heat to low and simmer for 20 minutes. Strain and return the broth to the pot. Slowly whisk in the peanut butter and the cream. Simmer for about 15 minutes longer.
