Ingredients/Components
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- peanut butter - 1/2 c
- sifted confectioners sugar - 1/2 c
- sifted all-purpose flour
- soft shortening - 3/4 c
- salted peanuts, chopped - 3/4 c
How to make peanut puffs:
Cream shortening with peanut butter and salt until light and fluffy, gradually adding confectioners sugar. Blend in vanilla, then flour. Stir in peanuts; mix well. Shape dough into small balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake in a 375° oven 12 minutes or until golden brown. Roll immediately in confectioners sugar.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cookie and brownie, Hand Formed cookies.
