Peanut patties

Ingredients/Components

• sugar - 3 c
• vanilla - 1 tsp
• salt - 1/2 tsp
• stick margarine - 1 item
• water - 1 c
• red food coloring - 1/2 tsp
• raw peanuts - 3 c
• Karo - 1 c

How to make peanut patties:

Put sugar, Karo and water in pan; bring to boil. Add peanuts and coloring. Cook to hard ball stage. Remove from fire. Add vanilla, salt and margarine. Beat until creamy. Pour into 4 buttered pans. Let cool 1 hour.
