sugar - 1/2 c
vanilla - 1/2 tsp
salt - 1/2 tsp
baking soda - 3/4 tsp
egg - 1 item
all-purpose flour
firmly packed brown sugar - 1/2 c
butter or margarine, softened - 1/2 c
creamy peanut butter - 1/2 c
miniature peanut butter cup candies - 48 item

How to make peanut butter temptations:

Cream butter and peanut butter. Gradually add sugar, beating until light and fluffy. Add egg and vanilla, beating well. Combine the flour, soda and salt; add to creamed mixture, mixing well. Chill dough 1 hour. Shape dough into 48 (1-inch) balls. Place in lightly greased 1 3/4-inch muffin pans, shaping each into a shell. Bake at 350° for 12 minutes (dough will rise during baking). Remove from oven. Immediately press a miniature peanut butter cup evenly into each hot crust. Cool before removing from pan. Yields 4 dozen.
