Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2/3 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 2 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- butter - 2 Tbsp
- cornstarch - 1/4 c
- egg yolks - 3 item
- powdered sugar - 1 c
- peanut butter - 1/2 c
- baked pie shell - 1 item
- Mix and cook next 7 ingredients, over low heat to pudding consistency
- cream of tartar per egg white - 1/8 tsp
How to make peanut butter pie:
Mix powdered sugar and peanut butter together to coarse meal consistency. Mix and cook next 7 ingredients, over low heat to pudding consistency.Put peanut butter mixture in baked pie shell and pour pudding mixture on top. Top with meringue, then brown.Meringue:3 egg whites1/8 tsp. cream of tartar per egg white6 Tbsp. sugar Beat egg whites; add cream of tartar. Add sugar gradually and beat until sugar is dissolved and forms a stiff peak. Bake at 350° until brown.
