  • sugar - 2/3 c
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • milk - 2 c
  • salt - 1/4 tsp
  • butter - 2 Tbsp
  • cornstarch - 1/4 c
  • egg yolks - 3 item
  • powdered sugar - 1 c
  • peanut butter - 1/2 c
  • baked pie shell - 1 item
  • Mix and cook next 7 ingredients, over low heat to pudding consistency
  • cream of tartar per egg white - 1/8 tsp

How to make peanut butter pie:

Mix powdered sugar and peanut butter together to coarse meal consistency. Mix and cook next 7 ingredients, over low heat to pudding consistency.

Put peanut butter mixture in baked pie shell and pour pudding mixture on top. Top with meringue, then brown.Meringue:3 egg whites1/8 tsp. cream of tartar per egg white6 Tbsp. sugar Beat egg whites; add cream of tartar. Add sugar gradually and beat until sugar is dissolved and forms a stiff peak. Bake at 350° until brown.
