Peanut butter oaties
Ingredients/Components
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- granulated sugar - 1/4 c
- packed brown sugar - 1/2 c
- flour - 1/2 c
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- chocolate chips - 1 c
- egg - 1 item
- coconut or nuts optional - 1 c
- 1 stick butter - 1/2 c
- creamy or chunky peanut butter - 1/2 c
- quick or old-fashioned uncooked rolled oats
How to make peanut butter oaties:
Cream together butter, peanut butter and sugars. Blend in egg and vanilla. In another bowl, combine oats, flour and soda. Blend into creamed mixture thoroughly. Stir in chocolate chips, nuts or coconut. Shape into 1-inch balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350° for 10 to 11 minutes or just until edges are golden brown. Cool 1 minute on cookie sheet, then remove to cooling rack.Note: For fancy cookies, omit chips from dough and melt in pan. Dip cooled cookies halfway and cool on waxed paper.
