Peanut butter fingers
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- vanilla - 1/2 tsp
- milk - 2 4
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- soda - 1/2 tsp
- confectioners sugar - 1/2 c
- egg - 1 item
- sifted flour - 1 c
- peanut butter - 1/3 c
- semi-sweet chocolate pieces - 6 oz
- brown sugar, firmly packed - 1/2 c
- butter or oleo - 1/2 c
- quick cooking oats - 1 c
How to make peanut butter fingers:
Cream together butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Add egg; beat well. Beat in 1/3 cup peanut butter and vanilla. Sift together flour, soda and salt. Stir dry ingredients and oats gradually into creamed mixture. Spread into greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan. Bake in 350° oven for 20 to 25 minutes. Sprinkle top with chocolate pieces. Let stand 5 minutes. Spread melted chocolate over top. Combine confectioners sugar, 1/4 cup peanut butter and enough milk to make a thin icing. Drizzle over melted chocolate. Cool in pan on rack.
