  • vanilla - 1/2 tsp
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • flour - 1 c
  • brown sugar - 1/2 c
  • soda - 1/2 tsp
  • egg - 1 item
  • shortening - 1/2 c
  • peanut butter - 1/3 c
  • white sugar - 1/2 c

How to make peanut butter cookies:

Cream shortening and peanut butter. Add sugars, blend. Add beaten egg, then dry ingredients. Drop by spoonfuls on greased cookie sheet. Flatten with fork. Bake at 350° for 12 to 15 minutes. Makes 60 small cookies.
