sugar - 1/2 c
salt - 1/4 tsp
flour
brown sugar - 1/2 c
baking powder - 1/2 tsp
baking soda - 3/4 tsp
shortening - 1/2 c
peanut butter - 1/2 c
egg, well beaten - 1 item

How to make peanut butter cookies:

Cream shortening and peanut butter; add sugar, egg and sifted flour and mix all together. Chill dough well. Form dough into small balls (size of walnuts). Press them flat with fork and bake in 375° oven from 10 to 12 minutes. Will yield 4 dozen cookies.
