  • sugar - 1/2 c
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • pkg - 1 oz
  • packed brown sugar - 1/2 c
  • milk - 2 3
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • flour - 1 c
  • butter - 1/2 c
  • baking soda - 1/2 tsp
  • egg - 1 item
  • powdered sugar
  • peanut butter - 1/2 c
  • creamy peanut butter - 1/4 c
  • quick cook oats - 1 c

How to make peanut butter cookie bars:

Peanut Butter Icing:3/4 c. powdered sugar1/4 c. creamy peanut butter Bars: In mixing bowl, beat butter and peanut butter for 30 seconds; add sugar and brown sugar. Beat until fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla. Stir together flour, baking soda and salt. Add to the beaten mixture and beat until blended. Stir in the oats; spread mixture into a 13 x 9-inch baking pan. Bake at 350° for 20 minutes; sprinkle with chocolate and let stand 5 minutes. Spread chocolate. Cool; prepare icing and drizzle over chocolate layer. Cut into bars. Makes 30 to 36.

For icing, beat together powdered sugar, peanut butter and milk until smooth.
