  • sugar
  • eggs - 3 item
  • vanilla - 1 Tbsp
  • pkg - 6 oz
  • shortening - 1/2 c
  • self-rising flour - 1 c
  • peanut butter - 1/2 c
  • chopped cocktail peanuts - 1 c

How to make peanut butter brownies:

Spoon flour into dry measuring cup; level off and pour measured flour onto waxed paper. Add flour (not sifted). Stir to blend. Cream peanut butter, sugar, shortening, eggs and vanilla thoroughly. Add blended dry ingredients to creamed mixture. Mix until smooth. Stir in chocolate bits and peanuts.

Spread in well-greased 9 x 13-inch oblong pan. Bake at 350° for 10 to 35 minutes. Cut into bars while warm. Cool in pan. Makes 3 dozen.
