Peanut butter brownies
Ingredients/Components
- large eggs - 3 item
- granulated sugar - 1 1/4
- plus 2 Tbsp - 1/2 c
- peanut butter - 1/4 c
- solid shortening - 1/4 c
- vanilla - 1 1/2
- unsifted flour - 2 c
- baking powder - 2 1/4
- salt - 3/4 tsp
- chopped or whole peanuts optional - 1 item
- chocolate frosting - 1 item
How to make peanut butter brownies:
Combine eggs, sugars, peanut butter, shortening and vanilla. Beat at medium speed with electric mixer until thoroughly mixed. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Gradually add flour mixture to peanut butter mixture. Mix until blended. Bake in 9 x 13-inch pan in 350?° oven for 30 minutes. Cool in pan 10 minutes. Cut in bars while still warm.
