Peanut brittle
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 4 c
- butter - 2 Tbsp
- water - 1 c
- soda - 3 tsp
- white Karo syrup - 2 c
- raw peanuts - 4 c
How to make peanut brittle:
In a large pan, bring the first 3 ingredients to a boil (250° on candy thermometer). Add peanuts and butter. Boil to 300° on candy thermometer. Remove from fire and add soda. Stir thoroughly and pour quickly without using a spoon to spread onto well-greased cookie sheet. Let cool, then break into pieces.
