Peaches and cream cake
Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- sour cream - 1 c
- cornstarch - 4 Tbsp
- water - 1/2 c
- powdered sugar - 2 Tbsp
- whipping cream - 2 c
- butter cake mix - 1 pkg
- peaches, sliced - 3 item
- chopped fresh peaches - 4 c
How to make peaches and cream cake:
Prepare cake as directed, using two (8-inch) pans. Cool and split each layer. Combine sugar and cornstarch in a saucepan. Add chopped peaches and water. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until smooth and thickened. Cool completely.Combine whipping cream and powdered sugar in a bowl. Beat until stiff. Spoon 1/3 of the peach filling over split layer of cake. Spread 1/3 cup sour cream over filling. Repeat with remaining layers. Frost with whipped cream and garnish with sliced peaches.
