Peach sauce
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/4 c
- butter or margarine - 1 Tbsp
- cornstarch - 2 Tbsp
- orange juice - 1/3 c
- finely shredded orange peel - 1/2 tsp
- can peach slices - 1 oz
How to make peach sauce:
Drain peaches, reserving 1 1/4 cups syrup. Coarsely chop peaches. In a saucepan, combine sugar and cornstarch; add reserved syrup. Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly; remove from heat. Stir in orange peel, orange juice, butter or margarine and chopped peaches. Cover and chill without stirring. Serve over ice cream, pound cake, waffles or filled crepes.
