Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- eggs - 6 item
- vanilla extract - 1 tsp
- sour cream - 1/2 c
- salt - 3/4 tsp
- almond extract - 1 tsp
- baking soda - 1/4 tsp
- all-purpose flour - 3 c
- margarine, softened - 1 c
- peeled, chopped fresh peaches - 2 c
How to make peach pound cake:
Preheat oven to 350°. Grease and flour 1 (10-inch) tube pan or 2 loaf pans. Cream margarine and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Combine flour, soda and salt in separate bowl. Mix together sour cream and peaches. Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture, alternately with sour cream and peaches, beginning and ending with dry ingredients. Beat well after each addition. Stir in vanilla and almond extract. Pour batter into prepared pan. In 10-inch pan, bake approximately 75 to 80 minutes. In 2 loaf pans, bake approximately 1 hour.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Low sodium.
