Peach marmalade



  • sugar
  • margarine - 1/2 tsp
  • orange, thinly sliced - 1 item
  • to 6 peaches - 4 item
  • Sure-Jell - 1 pkg
  • lemons, thinly sliced - 2 item

How to make peach marmalade:

Simmer lemons and orange slices until tender, about 20 minutes. Place in a 4-cup measure. Peel and chop peaches. Add to lemon and orange slices until the 4-cup measure is full. Place fruit in a large heavy saucepan. Bring to a boil. Add Sure-Jell and margarine. Add sugar. Bring to a boil. Boil for 1 minute. Skim. Pour into sterilized jars. Process in hot water bath 10 minutes. Makes 7 1/2 pints.
