Peach cobbler
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- milk - 3/4 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 2 Tbsp
- butter - 1 Tbsp
- baking powder - 4 tsp
- shortening - 1/3 c
- lemon juice - 1 tsp
- egg, beaten - 1 item
- sliced peaches - 2 c
How to make peach cobbler:
Dough:2 c. flour1/2 tsp. salt4 tsp. baking powder1 Tbsp. sugar1/3 c. shortening1 egg, beaten3/4 c. milk Place peaches in greased baking dish. Sprinkle with mixture of sugar and flour. Dot with butter. Drop dough in 6 mounds over peaches. Bake in hot oven (425°) for 30 minutes.This was a favorite recipe of my beloved Mother, Mary W. Davis.
