Peach cobbler
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- cornstarch - 1 Tbsp
- sliced peaches - 4 c
- flour - 1 c
- baking powder
- milk - 1/2 c
- cinnamon - 1/4 tsp
- shortening - 3 Tbsp
- lemon juice - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
How to make peach cobbler:
Mix 1/2 cup sugar, cornstarch and cinnamon in a 2-quart saucepan. Stir in peaches and lemon juice. Cook until mixture thickens and boils. Boil and stir for 1 minute. Pour into 2-quart casserole. Keep peach mixture hot. Cut shortening into flour, 1 tablespoon sugar, baking powder and salt until mixture resembles fine bread crumbs. Stir in milk. Drop by spoonfuls into hot peach mixture.
