Ingredients/Components

  • sugar
  • cinnamon - 1 tsp
  • eggs - 2 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • chopped pecans - 1 c
  • salt - 1/4 tsp
  • flour - 2 c
  • baking powder - 1 tsp
  • baking soda - 1 tsp
  • shortening - 1/2 c
  • fresh peaches, pureed

How to make peach bread:

Cream sugar and shortening together. Add eggs and mix thoroughly. Add peaches and dry ingredients. Add vanilla and pecans. Bake in 2 loaf pans (floured and greased) at 325° for 1 hour. Can be made in advance and frozen.
