Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/4 c
- chopped onion - 1/4 c
- chopped celery
- mayonnaise - 1/4 c
- bag frozen petite peas do not thaw - 1 (16
- small can lightly salted cashews, chopped - 1 item
- coarse grated Parmesan cheese in bag in dairy case - 1/4 c
How to make pea salad:
Put the first 5 ingredients in a bowl. Mix the sugar and mayonnaise together. Stir this into the pea mixture. Mix well. Top with Parmesan cheese and refrigerate about 2 hours before serving.Note: This is not cooked!! The peas will soften or thaw in the 2 hours it is refrigerated. This is simple and very good.
